Na drie Nederlandstalige cd’s verrast Martin Brand ons met een compleet Engelstalig album. Martin: ‘Ik werk nu vijf jaar bij de zendingsorganisatie Operatie Mobilisatie. Wij werken in 106 landen en er komen regelmatig uitnodigingen en kansen om te spreken en te zingen in het buitenland. Daarom heb ik zestien liedjes van mijn drie cd’s in het Engels vertaald. Een collega-zanger uit Amerika heeft me daar geweldig bij geholpen. Ik ben opgetogen over de mogelijkheden om nu onze muziek aan een veel breder publiek te kunnen aanbieden! Het is mijn gebed dat deze cd door God gebruikt zal gaan worden.’ Martin Brand trekt als spreker en zanger door Nederland, waarbij hij veel mensen aansteekt met zijn enthousiasme voor God. “Falling in Love with Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me… It was the starting point!” Eight years ago my life radically changed when, in prayer, I first experienced the touch of my King, Jesus Christ. It brought me to repentance and (thank God!) forgiveness. I received a brand new life through grace alone! Since that day my life has changed in so many ways and still I’m a work in process. The relationship with Christ is not a temporary or unsecure thing. He never lets go, he takes us on a journey of a lifetime (and beyond). In these days, many relationships are broken and faithfulness has become a special thing. In the light of this I am so encouraged when the bible tells me: “God is the one who began this good work in you, and I am certain that he won’t stop before it is complete on the day that Christ Jesus returns. (Phil 1:6)” When we choose to follow Jesus, and I hope you have made that decision, it’s for the rest of our lives and eternity. God will be faithful and will reshape us, fill us, use us and keep us firmly in His loving grip. We can be sure we’ll need His forgiveness and grace over and over again, and He will be there! Following Jesus is more about devotion and commitment than it is about feelings that come and go. Let’s stay close to Him and His Word, let’s be true disciples... After all: we are in this for the Long Run! It’s my prayer that this album will help you to stay focussed on the One who called you. In Christ Alone, Martin Brand & Life.
